Jon Halaby’s practice focuses on insurance law, tort and construction litigation. Jon’s specialty as an insurance attorney involves the analysis and litigation of personal injury, insurance bad faith claims, and the preparation of insurance coverage opinions. Jon’s general litigation practice specializes in bodily injury, property loss, and business tort claims. He is also an experienced construction law attorney and frequently represents contractors and project owners in a variety of issues involving breach of contract and faulty workmanship. Jon also handles probate disputes such as will contests, and breach of fiduciary duty claims.

Julie Halaby provides strong advocacy and ongoing counsel in the area of employment law. She is passionate about representing individuals facing unlawful treatment in the workplace. This includes wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, harm to professional reputation, and other such damaging conduct. Julie is very successful in negotiating severance agreements and resolving workplace disputes, often without the need for litigation. Through her legal knowledge, exposure to a variety of industries, and solution-oriented approach, Julie is a valuable resource to many individuals, including high level executives and professionals needing to protect their rights and achieve resolution of difficult employment situations.

Jessica Deratzian graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Rhode Island where she majored in Business Administration and Finance. She graduated from New England School of Law in 2008. Since becoming a member of the Massachusetts Bar, Attorney Jessica Deratzian’s practice has focused on civil litigation, probate administration, estate planning, mental health law, employment law and various corporate matters. Jessica prides herself on client communication and involvement. She is committed to the zealous representation of her client’s interests.

Gregory Mathieu graduated from Hobart College where he majored in Anthropology with minors in the Sacred and Cross-Cultural Perspective, American Studies, and English. Gregory graduated from Suffolk University Law School. Prior to joining Halaby Law Group, Gregory represented transportation entities in a private setting and then went on to represent municipal entities in both the public and private setting. Gregory focuses his practice on civil litigation. Gregory prides himself on advocating for his clients interests and securing the best possible outcome at all times.

Jean Zeiler has over 25 years of experience as an attorney, and focuses her practice on employment law, including claims for discrimination and wage violations. She represents individuals in all types of discrimination, including on the basis of sex, age, race, disability, sexual harassment, and illegal retaliation. Her practice also focuses on claims for unpaid wages, overtime, tips, and commissions, and reviewing severance agreements.
