Robert W. Connelly is a seasoned trial attorney who focuses his practice on construction law, business and employment-related tort claims, insurance coverage, personal injury, criminal defense and estate litigation matters. Robert specializes in courtroom advocacy and zealously represents his clients throughout all aspects of litigation. Because of his trial and litigation experience, he also knows how to avoid litigation and regularly advises clients on pre-litigation matters.
A U.S. Army veteran with a deployment to Afghanistan, Robert has significant experience providing legal and analytical services in both the private and public sectors. He started his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office where he investigated hundreds of cases and managed all aspects of litigation. Additionally, Robert served as lead counsel for over fifty jury trials across a broad spectrum of issues including violent crimes, gun and drug offenses and motor vehicle homicide. Following his time in the District Attorney’s Office, Robert joined a medium-sized South Shore litigation firm where he represented individuals and companies in a variety of liability claims including business torts, construction disputes, personal injury, products liability, premises liability, recreational liability and professional liability.
While his strengths and experience have prepared him to litigate when necessary, Robert knows the value of resolving disputes out of the courtroom through negotiation and alternative dispute resolution. Throughout his legal career, Robert has worked closely with clients in order to tailor his representation to their goals and needs.
